The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force in May 2018.
This legislation is Europe wide and has been written to reflect the digital age. It's aim is to give more rights and freedomes for individuals and to bring greater consistency across Europe.
Personal Data is any information that can be used to identify an individual either on its own or when added to something else. This also includes sensitive data which includes race, religion, beliefs and health.
As a school, we are a data controller as we process data about staff and pupils.
The School's Data Protection lead is Mrs Polly Powell.
On this page, parents can access the school's privay notice and the Data Protection Policy which will be updated to reflect the new legislation.
